"Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America: They will be met.
On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.
We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness."
My favorite line so far, "Your people will judge you for what you build not for what you destroy."
Go Obama! Our Prayers are with you. "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Saviour, for he wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth (II Tim. 2:1-3)."

You're so right this was an awesome moment for every American! His words were very inspiring. Filled with hope that could actually be ascertained (you know what I mean?) rather than fluffy words!!! I'm excited to be living in this time. We can Do it! Yes we can!
From the time I started to follow Mr.Obama's political career, one particular verse ALWAYS came to mind. PSALMS 139:13 - To think that 47 years ago, The Almighty knew EXACTLY what he was doing when he knitted this individual in his mother's womb. On that day, God knew that 47 years later, Barack Obama would be America's first African American president. And while for decades we were hoping and longing for a person to pick up the reigns where others like Martin Luther King had left off, GOD must have been saying "Wait! It's not time yet" or "No! That's not the one I've purposed for this. When I get ready, I have someone in mind who is going to blow your mind". JUST AMAZING HOW GOD WORKS THINGS OUT
