Wow. Those pictures are unreal. Interesting you mention the song, too. How powerful those words must be for the SWCC Family which really, when you start to think about it, is all of us in some way or another.
Your right D. It's like our home burned down. Memories.
Sad! Hopefully, they will let us know how we can help.
The SwCC alumni in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area are shocked and saddened by the events of January 27, 2008. We have all lost something through the memories we all shared together by those buildings. Some things cannot be restored physically as they once were. However, the ones I talked to stated that a rebuilding process will take place. I believe it will be grander...if not physically but through the building of unions that have been lost through time. This is the first time I felt Southwestern’s spirit since I left the doors. A spirit that is linked by common memories. "Southwestern we will always remember...."
My heart goes out to my SWCC family. I have planned on coming back to my 20 year reunion in November and seeing all of my friends and Summer Tour class mates. I will do what ever I can, however I am needed. Love you all and God will shine through all the rubbage and show his glory.

Anthony is it you, Restorations song writer? If it is, What's up? How are you and the wife? Are you still writing?
If not, Hey bro. Thanks for commenting.
Paul Fuller. Good to hear from you. Love you right back!!
I feel really bad about the fire and I loved Southwestern myself. However, Southwestern has been neglecting the responsibility of restoring those buildings for a while now. Procrastination is not tolerable and now WE are forced to do something about it. Its painful to think that there were preventive methods to carry out so that this wouldnt happen. Remember this is not the end, this is an example of what procrastination can result in. God Bless our Alma Mater and as the Southwestern Family, its our obligation to see that we REBUILD and move on. I love you SWCC! The pain is only temporary.
David,
I appreciate your site. It is very informative and has almost all the pictures concerning the SwCC fire. My family is doing ok. As I view your site, your children and Cathy look nice. Of course you are very observant, it is the Anthony you know as the writer of songs for Restoration. I have not written any new songs since my mother died (2-3 years ago).
But, I have a catalog of old songs that written during the management of Restoration and Plain & Simple that were never released.
Are you still writing songs for groups--yourself? I have kept up with your work over the years. Always loved "Died for All" (SwCC 1988-89) and "You Were There" (peformed by Restoration). When are you going to publish your songs called Psalms of David?
I wish you success in your ministry. Those who are truly following the Lord need support and prayer. I do pray for your family and hope I hear from you soon.
If you need to contact me, email me at bisbooks@hotmail.com
Keep up the good work...once again great web site.
Thanks brother, thanks so much. Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother and your music. I hope the loss of the latter is temporary, you wrote some very powerful verses. Always weighty and meaningful. Would hate to know that is no more.
As for the Psalmist, he shall soon return. God still gives me songs and hymns, but the work of ministry has me strapped. In a good way.
Thanks so much for your prayers and good will. They are very encouraging.
Pass the word about Expalot, which spreads the Word of God.
Prayers for all as you recovery from this devastating blaze.
